Are you looking for an Administrative Professional (AP) student to assist you with your daily workload? The students from the Bow Valley College Administrative Professional Certificate program will work with your team to perform a variety of assigned administrative tasks. • Students are available 3x/year – January, May or September and must meet strict prerequisites to be eligible for placement • Field placements are unpaid and designed to be mutually beneficial for both host and student • Field placement experiences may be in-person or virtual • The student is required to complete 140 hours (four weeks, full-time) • The host is requested to provide a designated workstation and a variety of duties relating to the student’s education, plus training, supervision, and mentorship • A performance evaluation will be provided to the supervisor for completion and returned to Bow Valley College at the conclusion of the field placement

Is your community looking to develop ideas for engagement, or would an analysis of your community support the development of a new initiative? We have students that could complete an environmental scan, SWOT analysis, and develop a plan for a community engagement event / initiative for you and build you a comprehensive community development event plan. Identifying a community of interest and determining a gap or challenge that could be supported with a specific event or initiative, learners will develop a plan and proposal to help meet identified needs. Our Community Engagement course is part of a post-diploma certificate program. These students already hold a diploma or higher credential (bachelor, masters, or PhD) from a health or human services discipline.

This can be accomplished by examining a variety of fundraising strategies and developing a case for support. These student-consultants can provide a lot of value for your company, including developing and preparing a multi-pronged fundraising strategy for a non-profit health or human services organization, and / or providing a case for support presentation to promote an existing fundraising initiative.

The Tech Skills Initiative is a 26-week intensive program that currently focuses on database management, business intelligence, and predictive analytics, and includes a 10-week , unpaid work placement for learners to gain practical experience. Learners will work on one or more projects of your choosing over the placement period, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners are available for 300 hours of placement from February 8th to April 16th, 2021. Learners should complete a minimum of 30 hours/week with your organization for the duration of the placement.
