Student in this class will learn about the theory and practice of Geographical Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing of Earth system processes, and aerial photography, photogrammetry, and image interpretation.

Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on learners from College of the Rockies to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners in this program/experience receive a comprehensive introduction to key principles in structural and historical geology. From exploring geologic time to studying fossil records and mineral deposits, students dive into the Earth's history, dating techniques, organic evolution, and natural resource issues.
