branding brand identity research logo designOur company is looking to solidify our identity and revamp the logo that we currently have. We are looking to better connect with our audience by standing out and being memorable while also being able to use the designs the students offer in a corporate setting.
We are looking for real designs that we could use in our branding as well as general branding knowledge. The right candidate would work to create consistent promotional branding and come up with possible new names for the company.
This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Researching the brand identity.
- Logo and name proposals that reflect who we are
- Work to create a branding guide for us to reference
- Help create prototypes using software tools that can be implemented in our marketing
- Research into the competitors to see what they are doing.
- Creating custom branding sheets with colours and logos.
1. Brand Research and Analysis (10-15 hours)
- Competitor Analysis: A brief report or presentation summarizing key insights about competitor branding strategies, including logos, color schemes, and messaging.
- Audience Research: Basic research on your target audience and their preferences, potentially including surveys or interviews if time permits.
- Brand Identity Summary: A document outlining your company’s current identity, values, and goals based on discussions and research.
2. Logo Design Proposals (15-20 hours)
- Initial Concepts: 3-5 unique logo design concepts presented as rough sketches or digital drafts.
- Refined Designs: 2-3 polished logo options based on feedback, with variations (e.g., color, black-and-white, and simplified versions).
- Logo Usage Examples: Mockups of how the logo would appear on business cards, signage, or social media profiles.
- A.I. file - SVG, EPS, PNG, PDF, JPG, Full White Full Black, Full Colour
3. Branding Guide Draft (10-15 hours)
- Color Palette: A proposed color scheme with HEX/RGB codes for primary and secondary colors.
- Typography: Suggestions for font pairings (headings, body text, etc.) that align with your brand identity.
- Logo Guidelines: Basic rules for logo usage (size, spacing, and placement).
- Tone and Voice: A brief description of the brand’s tone (e.g., professional, friendly, innovative) for marketing communications.
4. Marketing Material Prototypes (10-15 hours)
- Business Card Design: A prototype of a business card featuring the new logo and branding elements.
- Social Media Template: A basic template for social media posts or banners.
- Brochure or Flyer: A simple one-page flyer or brochure design showcasing your services.
5. Optional Deliverables (if time permits)
- Competitor Comparison Chart: A visual comparison of your branding against competitors.
- Presentation: A final presentation summarizing the work completed and recommendations for future branding efforts.
Providing specialized, in-depth knowledge and general industry insights for a comprehensive understanding.
Sharing knowledge in specific technical skills, techniques, methodologies required for the project.
Direct involvement in project tasks, offering guidance, and demonstrating techniques.
Providing access to necessary tools, software, and resources required for project completion.
Scheduled check-ins to discuss progress, address challenges, and provide feedback.
