Beginning in May, students from Cambrian College’s two-year Workplace Safety & Prevention diploma program will work roughly 250hrs to provide a variety of health and safety guidance and consulting to your organization. The program of study is uniquely designed to assist students in understanding current occupational health and safety legislation and then identify, assess, and manage risks in a variety of work environments. Students will be able to conduct risk assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and common tests to prevent hazards and harm to workers, property, the environment, and the public. Workplace wellness and human resources management is also a focus throughout the program of study. This course is open to the employer needs and would be flexible in nature.

In this project, students will apply their knowledge in marketing and international business to help your organization seize a global or domestic marketing opportunity, develop a strategic marketing plan, or solve a current marketing challenge. Would you like a deeper understanding of how your competitors appeal to consumers & potential customers in your market – and how your offering(s) sits within the range of consumer appeals in this category? Gain insights from students as teams identify/analyze the key consumer wants & needs that the offerings in your category meet, reveal how your competitors attract and keep customers, and propose how this knowledge can be used to build your business. Upon completion of the project, you will receive a detailed report and presentation.

Virtual Internship Opportunity! Let one or more students from our Human Resources Graduate Certificate program with Cambrian College be your virtual intern in a project-based unpaid experience. Students have completed a degree/diploma as well as all of required coursework to obtain the Certified Human Resources Professional Designation. Students are available for 240 hours from May 2020 to June 2020. Hours, start dates, and end dates are flexible.This is an unpaid internship opportunity for students to gain experience in the industry. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, student placements will only occur virtually.

Our students have the skills to build native applications for mobile devices, as well as cross-platform web applications. They have used a variety of technologies and programming languages and have the skills to develop and design mobile applications using Java, Swift, PHP, HTML, CSS, and SQL. We are looking to create a first-time mentorship opportunity for our students by pairing them with a skilled mobile application developer at your company who can mentor and support our students through a small project.

Our students have the skills to create and manage organizational process change as well as an understanding of how to gather, document, and communicate stakeholder requirements. Students are well suited to recommend and evaluate solutions, provide quality assurance, perform data modeling, project management, and budgeting for capital projects.
