There is a wide range of options for our students to deliver projects for your organization. You might be a community or welfare agency, education provider, health service, local government, startup, or a for profit company specializing in young people. Our students have a wide range of skills relating to youth and their communities. Specialities include, housing, drugs and alcohol, safety and violence prevention, health and mental health, indigenous, LGBTIQ, youth engagement, employment and education.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Whether you are wanting a brief turnaround or a large scale contribution, project outcomes could be small or large depending on requirements. Our students have substantial hours to contribute to your project outcomes. We can be creative in our project planning to meet a variety of objectives, with milestones in place to ensure timely delivery.

Our students are in their 2nd year of their 3 year Youth Work bachelor degree. They have a mature and responsible approach, are good meeting deadlines, are social media savvy and have an excellent understanding of youth and their needs. Most are in their early 20's and have a wide range of direct experiences and a passion to make a difference for youth in the areas mentioned above.

We are based in Melbourne, Australia and are keen to work with you online either synchronously or asynchronously.

Project Examples

Requirements

Projects could include the possibilities below

  • This could be a direct contribution to program. Our students could co-facilitate a group online to help youth skill development and engagement. They can help build self confidence of your clientele.
  • Development of new program. This could for example be designing a music program for young people. Accessing online resources. Setting up collaborative spaces such as social media or virtual conferencing. Group facilitation and moderation online.
  • Develop agency resources, such as social media campaigns. Information packages. Sourcing local credible online resources. Develop tip sheets or guidelines.
  • Assisting with the development of an agency policy (e.g., volunteer policy), review & implementation of policy.
  • Research, literature reviews, data collection, data analysis, report writing, evaluation.
  • Write case studies related to direct practice experience. This can be used on your website or in a promotional campaign to help to help your young clientele or potential customers feel that they can relate to your campaign.
